The resort's elevation, ranging from 7,500 feet at the base to 11,166 feet at Lone Peak, combined with its northerly latitude, creates ideal spring skiing conditions.
Red Lodge Mountain (Closes April 12): Located in Montana’s Beartooth Mountains, Red Lodge Mountain offers 1,635 acres of terrain, including steep chutes and long, sunny groomed runs. It is known as an affordable, local-friendly experience with late-season snow and a laid-back vibe.
Bridger Bowl Ski Area (Closes April 12): Bridger Bowl is a non-profit ski area near Bozeman. It is famous for its challenging, steep slopes and signature "cold smoke" powder. A true local's mountain, it offers 2,000 acres of skiable terrain, 2,600 vertical feet, and a rustic, community-focused atmosphere. Its renowned hike-to ridge terrain requires avalanche beacons for access.
